Jonny Say

Jonny has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over 20 years and teaching for more than 10 years. He began his training in traditional meditation practices like Zen and Vipassana, before moving into Mindfulness, Compassion and Therapy training. He has attended the Bangor Centre for Mindfulness Teacher Training Level 1 Retreat and has attended many Mindfulness and Compassion courses and retreats with world class teachers. Jonny has attended training with many of the top Acceptance and Commitment Therapy trainers (Prof Steve Hayes, Dr Kelly Wilson, Dr Kirk Strohsal and Dr Russ Harris). He has attended Compassion Focused Therapy training with Prof Paul Gilbert and Dr Chris Irons, Mindful Self-Compassion training with Dr Kristin Neff and is an associate therapist for the Balanced Minds Compassion Focused Therapy group.

He is recognised on the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teacher Training Organisations UK listing. This listing recognises teachers that ‘meet the UK Good Practice Guidance for Mindfulness-Based Teaches i.e they are: suitably trained, committed to continuous professional development, hold appropriate insurance and are receiving supervision for their teaching.’

Jonny has taught hundreds of people the skills of mindfulness in public, corporate and 1-2-1 teaching contexts. He is pragmatic and practical in his approach, adapting mindfulness to fit into busy and stressful lives. He teaches Mindfulness and Compassion courses to Mind and NHS IAPT services in London.
